CADENAS eCATALOGSolutions makes a catalog of Standard parts and/or Supplier parts available to an extended customer base, and to ensure that designers using the catalog have no problems when using the supplier parts, a system which allows the catalog to work together with any desired CAD system »seamlessly«.would be nice.

PARTsolutions, through its independent neutral format created with the PARTdeveloper toolkit, does just this. Unexpected and previously unavailable possibilities are achievable with PARTdeveloper. All common CAD systems are supported, in both UNIX and Windows. Systems supported include:

PARTdesigner 3D

Do it yourself: create 2D and 3D data with PARTdesigner 3D.

With PARTdesigner 3D, 2D and 3D Standard Part families can be created and parameterized for efficient storage and usage.
PARTdesigner 3D is an authoring tool for the development of Standard- and Supplier-based part catalogs. The advantage of PARTdesigner 3D is that geometries generated once are available immediately on multiple CAD systems - through PARTsolutions independent, common, environment.
Geometric formulae, sketches, extrusions, rotations and geometric operations are completed. The result is a parametric, object-oriented part, which can be used across multiple CAD systems.
The decisive point is that the parts, when in use, are generated as native parts in the CAD system. This means that all features, histories, outlines and operations are available for use and revision.

PARTconfigurator

What belongs together? ... PARTconfigurator will help

Modern CAD solids programs are now quite capable of putting together complete assemblies from individual parts - and then working with them.
If an assembly consists of many individual parts which belong to an often used standard assembly (such as a die-casting tool) a possibility exists to insert complete pre-configured basic assemblies into a drawing.
The configuration tool PARTconfigurator allows the user to put together whole assemblies individually from single PARTdesigner 3D assembly parts.
This happens via a rule set, which is connected together with a pre-defined single 3D part in PARTdesigner 3D via a named connection point. After a rule set has been constructed for an assembly, a user-specific assembly can be put together in the PARTassembly module and exported to a CAD system.

PARTeditor

PARTeditor helps you organize and present your standard parts.

PARTeditor allows you to edit the object attribute tables of already created parts. A direct import of tables created in MS-Excel is also supported, and very easy!
Then, using PARTviewer, parametric parts with chosen values can be displayed from the object attribute table and transferred over to the CAD system in a desired size.

PARTdxfconverter

2D to 3D with ease: The converter tool PARTdxfconverter.

Complete DXF-file catalogs can be converted in batch mode in just a few minutes into immediately usable PARTsolutions files using PARTdxfconverter.
Through the user interface, one can set line types and line thicknesses to match one's own requirements.
The resulting 2D catalog data is serves as the foundation to product 3D PARTsolutions parts.

PARTproject
