The Hub of Design Review
The flexible plug-in architecture of NavisWorks JetStream is built around Roamer JS. Additional design review functionality is delivered in a range of plug-in components that can be configured to satisfy the needs of an individual or organization. Each plug-in component must be paired with a Roamer JS and any or all the NavisWorks JetStream plug-in range can be added to a single Roamer JS.

Easy To Use
Roamer JS can be used by both the CAD and non-CAD user to explore the design free from the limitation of pre-programmed animation and without specialist skills or hardware. The design professional can achieve improvements in design output by interacting with a design in real-time, to inspect and present design concepts for the project team to focus, challenge and check detail. Roamer JS can be used by suppliers and subcontractors to enhance their understanding and use of project documentation and, because Roamer JS opens the most popular 3D design and laser scan file formats without the design software, non-CAD users can now be part of the review process.

Compatible & Interoperable
Roamer JS is compatible with most popular 3D design and laser scan file formats, opening them quickly for walkthrough and review of geometry, object information and .nwd textures, materials and lights. Roamer JS can combine competing 3D file formats to create supermodels for review so interoperability is no issue and large data files are handled with ease on ordinary PCs.

Interactive Design Review
NavisWorks JetStream technology enhances the large model handling ability of Roamer JS. Even the largest supermodel can be navigated smoothly with Roamer JS for the review of single project models to better understand the design. Roamer JS has a simple interface and rich set of review capabilities for easy project model analysis. Maximizing the potential of OpenGL, textures, materials and lights can also be viewed from .nwd files or, when used with the Presenter JS plug-in, other compatible formats.

Navigate & Manipulate
Roamer JS offers a choice of ways to manoeuvre and examine the design in real-time, aided by Plan and Section Thumbnails for orientation. Cross Sectioning allows close inspection and focus on detail. Collision detection and Gravity give a realistic navigation experience by making walls, stairs and other objects solid and the ability to crouch allows testing of access around services and structure. The 3rd person view offers the chance to explore the model with an avatar to give an understanding of scale. A familiar Tree View displays the originating 3D model structure and Object Properties, and a powerful Find Items tool and adaptable Object Selection all contribute to make exploring the detail of the design with Roamer JS quick and easy. Hiding, selecting in a box, changing transparency or colors, zoom to selection, are among many tools that help focus upon located objects.

Interrogate & Communicate
Effortless interaction with even the largest supermodel in real-time, without the need for a CAD system, means that design analysis is simple and makes sharing the design and information easy. With Roamer JS it is straightforward to measure, mark up and comment on the design. Redline text can be entered directly onto a viewpoint and unique redline ID tags with comments and status can be added. Object information within the native CAD files is read by Roamer JS and can also be displayed as text. Unlimited Hyperlinks, shown as Icons or Text tags, can be attached to objects to aid understanding with links to files or URLs. It is simple to create viewpoints and animated walkthroughs with Roamer JS and export them as images, .avi files, or direct to print.
